Overview

Customer Quote Builder LWC

The Customer Quote Builder Lightning Web Component (LWC) is a component of the Freight Quote Assistant (FQA).

The Customer Quote Builder LWC allows the user to:

  1. Enter and Send a Customer Quote to a customer contact.

  2. Enter/Update and Save a Customer Quote.

  3. Dynamically calculate both amount-based and rate-based quotes.

  4. Add accessorial charges to the load and quote.

  5. Price Legs if you have customer stored rates for one or more possible legs of a load route.

The Customer Quote aspects of the component are not visible to shippers.

Add fields to the Customer Quote section of this page with the Customer Quote TMS1 field set.

The Pricing field indicates when a stored rate from a matching customer Rate Entry is applied on the customer quote. Spot indicates that a customer quote was manually created OR created based on a Marked-Up Carrier quote. When the Pricing field is set to Contract, the quote is generated based on a matching customer Freight/Fuel Rate Entry. Accessorial Rate Entries that match for a customer quote are set as Spot pricing.

When the Billing Status field on the customer quote is set to Approved, Adjusted, or Invoiced, the customer quote is locked. Only users with the Lock permission are able to edit or make changes to the customer quote. If a customer quote is replaced ruing the Rerate/Rebill process, the original customer quote is locked.

Issue Adding Accessorials

If Accessorial charges are not displaying in the Pricing Summary section of the Customer Quote Builder, it may be an issue with currency.

Accessorial charges were added and saved, the line is momentarily populated in the Pricing Summary, but then is removed.

From Setup, Manage Currencies, Advanced Currency Management was not enabled. From TMS Admin, Configuration, Use Dated Exchange Rates was enabled (checked). The Freight Quote Assistant LWC was looking for the Dated Exchange Rate, but it was not activated in Setup. These two settings must be used together and must be consistent.

In addition to checking the box on Active Currencies, Dated Exchange Rates must be enabled. These must to be consistent.

When currency settings are configured properly, accessorial charges are present in the Pricing Summary of the Customer Quote.
