Overview

Global Settings

Click on the TMS Admin → Configuration link to access the following global settings.

  1. Product Configuration

    1. Shipper or Broker/3PL.

    2. This setting determines the global default tender document – BOL for shipper and Carrier Rate and Load Confirmation for Broker/3PL and default load payment terms.

    3. This setting also determines whether customer-related information (in addition to Carrier-related information) is displayed in the Freight Quote page.

  2. Default Transportation Profile

    1. If set, controls global defaults for:

      1. Tender document type(s).

      2. Customer and Carrier assignments to lanes.

      3. Customer and Carrier rates, if stored locally.

      4. Relevant for both Shipper/Consignee and Carrier (“Sell” and “Buy” side).

  3. Carrier Remit To Sync

    1. If Checked, the Carrier Remit To information from RMIS or MyCarrierPackets automatically updates the Carrier Remit To field on the Transportation Profile.

  4. In Transit Load Trigger

    1. Determines which first stop date, when populated, auto-sets a Load to In Transit status.

  5. Delivered Load Trigger

    1. Determines which last stop date, when populated, auto-sets a Load to Delivered status.

  6. HubTran Credentials Selector

    1. The picklist field on the Load table (if any) that determines which credentials to use.

  7. Default Weight Search Bracket

    1. When viewing the Quick Quote pages’ load history, the percent (plus or minus) used when filtering on Load weight.

  8. Default Linear Feet Search Bracket

    1. When viewing the Quick Quote pages’ load history, the percent (plus or minus) used when filtering on Load linear feet.

  9. Stop Charge Accessorial

    1. The accessorial record (the default is “Stop Off”) that is used for stop charges (which can be automatically added via customer and Carrier stored rates). For TMS 7.8 and forward, this accessorial is unused.

  10. HazMat Accessorial

    1. The accessorial to automatically add to any hazmat loads (as defined on the line items).

  11. Default Accessorial

    1.   The accessorial record that is used when Project44 or Banyan send an accessorial that is not listed in the TMS. (Can be automatically added via customer and Carrier stored rates). The default is "Other."

  12. Carrier Removal Accessorial

    1. The accessorial to automatically add to any Carrier quote if the Carrier is removed from a load.

  13. Cargo Insurance Accessorial

    1. The accessorial record that is automatically added to any customer quote if insurance was requested. This field is sent when sending the accessorial via API.

  14. Insurance Buffer Percentage

    1. Additional insurance that is added to a load. This percentage is calculated against the cargo value of the load. The only supported values are null and 10%.

  15. Truck Posting Retention Period (Days)

    1. How many days to retain one-time and Load Board Truck Postings. (Values include 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7)

  16. Load Posting Refresh Interval (Minutes)

    1. How frequently active Load Board Postings are refreshed.

    2. The default value is 120 minutes.

    3. (Values include 15, 30, 60, 120, or 240)

  17. Tracking Update Frequency (Minutes)

    1. How often to process the MacroPoint, Trucker Tools, and FourKites inbound API location updates.

  18. Pricing Workbench Batch Size

    1. Control the batch size for the Pricing Workbench job.

  19. Default Carrier Mode

    1. The mode to use when auto-creating carriers from SaferWatch, RMIS or MyCarrierPackets when mode information is not available in the packet. 

  20. Queued Transaction Retention Period

    1. Delete Queued Transaction records older than the retention period.

  21. Queued Transaction Maximum Process Count

    1. The maximum number of parallel queue transaction job processes. Default is “3.”

  22. Public Customer Community URL

    1. URL to the email loop customer guest community page.

  23. Public Carrier Community URL

    1. URL to the email loop Carrier guest community page.

  24. Fleet Community URL

    1. URL to the Fleet Driver Confirmation page.

  25. Inbound API Community URL

    1. URL to guest community REST service for push API data capture.

  26. Default Country for Load Creation

    1. Set the default country for filtering when creating Loads.

  27. LTL API Timeout Override (Seconds)

    1. Set the number of seconds to override the timeout when quoting from Project44.

    2. This field only applies when quoting LTL Loads through the TMS Web Service.

  28. Lane Preference Default Expiration

    1. Set this value to the number of days to generate Expiration Dates on Lane Preference records. The date is generated by adding the number of days from Today’s date on the day the record is created.

  29. Use Platform Events For When using the features selected, API calls and other TMS functions are performed with Platform Events. This reduces the use of the Queued Transactions batch job and is considerably faster. It is highly recommended to check each selection.

    If an error occurs with a Platform Event, a Queued Transaction record is created. Navigate to the Queued Transaction list to view the records.

  30. Freeze Load Number

    1. Check this box to prevent users from changing the Load Number field on Loads.

  31. Allow Carrier Address Updates

    1. If Checked, RMIS and MyCarrierPackets can update Carrier billing and shipping addresses.

  32. Calculate and Display Taxes

    1. Check this box to enable the display and calculation of Canadian and Mexican sales taxes for Customer Quotes and Invoices.

  33. Calculate Negative Taxes

    1. Check this box to calculate negative taxes on customer credit memos.

  34. Enforce Customer Credit Limits

    1. Enable if you want to enforce customer credit limits.

  35. Enable Commodity Lookup

    1. If Checked, commodities can be searched on during line item and rate entry creation.

  36. Enable Community Commodity Lookup

    1. If Checked, commodities can be searched on during customer community line item entry.

  37. Use Default Pickup/Delivery Status

    1. If Checked, the default logic to populate the stop- and load-level Pickup/Delivery Status fields is employed.

  38. Customer Rebates Enabled

    1. If Checked, calculate customer rebates on Customer Quotes.

  39. Display Shipping/Receiving Hours (on Carrier Documents)

    1. If Checked, Shipping/Receiving Hours are displayed on Carrier documents.

  40. Calculate Linear Feet

    1. Linear feet is auto-calculated for each line item if:

      1. Dimensional fields are populated AND 

      2. The mode or equipment type is set on the load.

    2. The cube information comes from either the mode’s default equipment type or the provided equipment type.

      • When not Checked, the TMS does NOT calculate Linear Feet.

        • The Linear Feet field populates when information IS included in the load information from external API or EDI integrations. If the Dimensions are included but NOT the Linear Feet, the Linear Feet is NOT calculated.

        • The Linear Feet field is editable during Load creation on the Load Configuration and Load Detail LWCs.

      • When Checked, the TMS calculates Linear Feet.

        • Linear Feet for loads from external API or EDI integrations is calculated by the TMS.

        • The Linear Feet field is NOT editable during Load creation on the Load Configuration and Load Detail LWCs.

  41. Enable GPS-Only Loads

    1. If Checked, Loads with non-street-address stops (latitude/longitude only) are supported.

  42. Override Insured Amount Class

    1. Create a custom Apex class that overrides the packaged Revenova calculation for the Insured Amount field. The name of the class must be entered in this box.

  43. Override Total Insurance Premium Class

    1. Create a custom Apex class that overrides the packaged Revenova calculation for the Total Insurance Premium field. The name of the class must be entered in this box.

  44. Show Freight Class Calculator

    1. If Checked, the NMFC Class calculator is available when configuring line items for a load.

  45. Use Default Cargo Summary

    1. If Checked, default calculation is used for the Line Item Cargo Summary field.

  46. Disable Customer Creation

    1. Check this box to disallow new customer creation when creating a load.

  47. Customer Optional on Load Creation

    1. If Checked, customer entry is optional when creating loads.

  48. Mode Optional on Load Creation

    1. If Checked, mode entry is optional when creating loads.

  49. Assign Default Equipment Type

    1. If Checked, when a mode is selected, the default equipment type is set on the new load.

  50. Display Load Past Date Notifications

    1. Loads with a pickup date in the past display a notification in the Freight Quote Assistant and Customer Portal pages.

  51. Allow Carrier Document Upload

    1. If Checked, allow Carriers to upload documents via the email loop process.

  52. Access Historical Attachments

    1. If Checked, retrieves files from BOTH the Attachment and Content Version tables. Release 7.7 and later customers with no historical attachments should leave this UNCHECKED.

  53. Disable Fuel Card Auto-Naming

    1. If Checked, the automatic fuel card naming convention is not used.

  54. Enable Save & Rate for Load Creation

    1. When loads are created from the Load Configuration LWC, the Load Clone Visualforce Page, or the EDI batch process, Customer and Carrier quotes are generated when the load is saved. See EDI Setup and Processing Summary for more information.

  55. LaneIQ Network Enabled

    1. If Checked, the LaneIQ Network feature is used when creating Carrier quotes.

  56. State Country Picklists Enabled

    1. Read-only field that indicates if State and Country Picklists are enabled.

  57. Country Picklist Location

    1. Determines the location of the country picklist on the Load Configuration LWC, Stop Quick/Detail LWCs, Load Detail LWC, and Quote Wizard.

  58. Enable Lane Preferences

    1. If Checked, the Lane Preferences feature is available in the TMS.
