Overview

Beginning with this Fall ‘24 release, Revenova is now naming releases by season and year. This naming convention more closely aligns with Salesforce release naming conventions.

Fall ‘24 Release Enhancements

Fleet Management

Manage complex Fleet operations with the new Fleet Management Module.

Plan Trips, Manage Equipment, Schedule Appointments, and more.

Assign Drivers, select Power Units, and manage Equipment with the Trip Planner.

Track and sort trailers, chassis, and containers with the Equipment Manager.

See Fleet Management documentation for more information.

New integrations make Fleet operations more efficient.

Additional field sets provide for customization for several Fleet Console related LWCs.

Add Stop-off Charges to a Load

Add stop-off accessorial charges based on the number of Stops for a Load. Create Rate Entries with the new Per additional stop rating method and calculates and applies an accessorial charge when a Load has more than a set number of Stops.

Clone Freight Plans

Efficiently create new Freight Plans with the clone functionality. From the Freight Plan Console, choose the Clone button and select the appropriate customer Loads or Line Items and accompanying Carrier Loads.

Customer Portal Enhancements

Display Itemized Charges

Allow customers to view itemized charges for each quote that returns on the quote page of the Quote Wizard Setup.

Sort Quotes by Transit Time

Improved filtering allows Customer Portal users more options to sort quotes. A default sorting setting is now available based on Lowest Cost or Fastest Transit.

Portal users may also sort quotes by Carrier, Price, or Transit time. Filter options are shown below.

For additional information, see Quote Wizard information.

EDI Enhancements

Several enhancements to EDI transactions provide additional field support and EDI Load Reference mapping. To support new features, contact EDI VAN Partners.

EDI Load References

Enhanced EDI Load References functionality allows for mapping inbound and outbound references to Load, Stop, or Line Item fields. Fields may be mapped for inbound, outbound, or both direction EDI transactions. Add EDI Load References to outbound 210, 214, or 990 transactions not originally received with an inbound 204 transaction.

Inbound 204

The Bill of Loading Number, PO Number, and Order Number fields are now accepted with inbound EDI 204 transactions. Additionally, the Equipment Type and Hazmat Contact fields are accepted and included on the Load. See additional information for Equipment Type matching.

Inbound 204 transactions can update certain Load, Stop, or Line item fields. Fields are mapped with EDI Load Reference records for each EDI Location. EDI Load Reference records allow for mapping additional field information in outbound 990, 210, and 214 transactions.

Inbound 214

Stop Numbers, Time Zones, and Latitude and Longitude are supported as optional elements for inbound EDI 214 transactions. These values are stored on the Load in the Last Reported Geolocation field.

Outbound 214

The TMS determines the Stop Number and includes that on the outbound EDI 214 transaction.

Outbound 990

EDI 990 transactions are sent more efficiently when a user sets the EDI Status field to Accept or Decline. Additional logic prevents the Status field from changing once an EDI 990 transaction is created and queued for send.

Carrier Match LWC Enhancements

Requesting Quotes

Quickly review the Carriers that received a Request for Quote from the Carrier Match LWC.

The Log a Call (1) button allows for updating the Request Status of a Carrier without leaving the Carrier Match LWC.

Log a Call from the Activity tab on the Load page. Set the Subject to Send Quote and add the Contact from the Carrier Service. Click Save to update the Request Status for that Carrier Service in the Carrier Match LWC.

Sort available Carriers based on the the Request Status.

The filtering is available for both In Network and Out of Network Carriers.

See the Carrier Match LWC documentation for more information.

A new pill on the Carrier Quote Builder indicates when a Carrier has already received a Request for Quote.

Load and Truck Posting Enhancements

Enhancements to Load Postings allow for a shorter amount of time between refreshing Load Postings.

Un-post Loads from the Load Posting and Load List Views.

Automatically un-post Loads from Load Boards based on the amount of time the Load was listed on the board. Loads scheduled to be un-posted have a clock icon displayed in the Load Posting LWC.

Load and Truck Postings are managed by the the new LoadAndPostingManagementJob2. The job updates Truck Postings, uploads Carriers to Load Boards, and operates with an increased batch size of 10. The LoadAndPostingManagementJob is deprecated.

TMS Integration Enhancements

SMC3 EVA Integration

The Revenova TMS features an integration with the SMC EVA API.

This integration allows users to complete the following.

  • Request non-standard service from LTL Carriers.

  • Request PRO Numbers before tendering to Carriers.

  • Tender LTL loads to Carriers.

  • Track shipment updates.

  • Receive Load documents.

Catena ELD Integration

Manage and monitor Fleet operations with Catena, an ELD aggregator. Catena provides Driver and Vehicle location information from over 40 ELD providers.

Driver and Fleet Asset/Truck records are synced with the Fleet Management Job 2. For more specific syncing information, see documentation here.

See additional information here.

Trimble Maps

Monitor Fleet Trips throughout their lifecycle with the new Trimble Maps integration. Trip notifications provide routing information and other alerts that may impact delivery times.

See additional information here.

Border Connect

Send eManifest information to Border Connect when crossing the US-Canada border. New Customs Port Account locations allow for selecting the border crossing location when planning Trips. Create and manage the necessary documentation for both US to Canada and Canada to the US crossings. The Manifest Builder LWC allows for validating record and document information before passing that information on to the appropriate Customs agency.

New Field Sets to support Account, Contact, Driver, Fleet Asset, Line Item, and Load fields on the Manifest Builder LWC.

See Border Connect documentation here.

Miscellaneous Enhancements

  • Multiple enhancements were completed for the Banyan integration. An issue was corrected with the Banyan integration when quotes were refreshed or rerated. Existing Carrier quotes on a Load were duplicated. Receiving Carrier Weight Slip documents is now supported through the integration. The integration supports Unspecified Limited Access Pickup and Delivery accessorial charges when quoting Loads.

  • Major performance improvements for processing outbound EDI 214 X6 location updates. The EDI job processes these as Platform Events in batches of 100.

  • Salesforce enhancements to Lightning Email Templates allows for editing LEX2 email templates in the Lightning Email Template Builder.

    • The original Lightning Email Templates will likely be removed from the TMS in the next release.

  • Customer Portal Users with the Review Before Tender field Checked no longer see the Tender button on the Quote Wizard LWC. Users click Submit to send the Load for review before Tendering.

  • Improvements to the RMIS integration provide better handling for large documents sent to the TMS.

  • Corrected an issue when sending multiple Freight Plan routes to Trimble and routing information not displaying correctly on maps in the TMS.

  • When creating Loads, the default country displays on Stops. An issue was corrected that caused a manually selected country to revert to the default when searching by City/State.

  • A Proxy URL field is added to all Credentials cards. Unless specifically required for a particular integration setup, this field is for future enhancements.

  • Corrected an issue where the LaneIQ LWC returned an error when searching by city/state.

  • Performance improvements to the logic for accessorial exclusions when refreshing Carrier quotes. Some users encountered an issue where refreshing the Carrier quotes for a Load resulted in a “Too many SOQL queries” error.

  • Accessorial Rate Entries no longer need to be associated with an existing Freight Rate Entry to apply to Carrier quotes.

  • Two new batch processes are added to the PerformanceIQ LWC. FleetManagementJob2 and LoadAndTruckPostingManagementJob2 are added to the LWC for performance monitoring.

  • LTL Load Tender requests through the Project44 and AccuFRATE include Pickup and Delivery Instructions for each Stop.

  • Manually entering text into Long or Rich Text type fields supports Carriage Returns. For example, add line breaks when entering Stop Instructions on the Load Detail LWC.

  • An enhancement to the LaneIQ LWC displays the most recent Loads that match for a particular lane. This corrects an issue where matching Loads for a lane did not display in the LaneIQ component.

  • Enhancements to the Unmatched EDI Transaction LWC allow for querying a greater number of Carriers and Customers without triggering a SOQL error. Additionally, matching Loads display correctly in the LWC based on the date range filtering.

  • Filtering Rate Entries on the dual-value Direct/Interline field now requires both the SMC3 RateWare and Carrier Connect integrations enabled.

  • Filter the available Carrier quotes by movement type that are available to a Customer Portal user with the Portal Quote Direct/Interline Filter field on the customer Transportation Profile.

  • The new Total Handing Unit Count Axis Type picklist option allows for more precise Rate Entry calculations for Loads with multiple Line Items.

  • The Cloned From field indicates the “parent” Load a cloned Load was created from.

  • The warning message for calculating linear feet was removed when creating Loads in the TMS or Customer Portals. See TMS Admin → Configuration settings for more information to enable the feature to automatically calculate linear feet.

  • Improvements to saving the Load Tracking Update Interval and Load Tracking Duration fields on TMS Admin → Configuration.

  • Enhancements to the POD Viewer prevent images from creating additional blank pages.

Accounting Seed Bridge Enhancements

  • Payable records are generated more accurately from inbound EDI 210 transactions. The Unit, Quantity, and Unit Price fields received for inbound EDI 210 transactions are used to populate or update Payable records. Tax line information from the EDI 210 transaction are also included when creating Payable records.

  • Billing records are generated with Unit, Quantity, and Unit Price fields from the Customer Quote. These fields populate outbound EDI 210 transactions.

    • The Billing Line Comment field is populated with the Customer Quote Freight Charge Notes, Fuel Surcharge Notes, and Accessorial Notes fields.

    • The Payable Line Invoice Comment field is populated with the Carrier Quote Freight Charge Notes, Fuel Surcharge Notes, and Accessorial Notes fields.

  • Payable records now include the Freight Surcharge field that is populated from the Carrier Quote.

  • Enhancements to the logic for creating and updating Payable records when receiving inbound EDI 210 transactions. When an EDI 210 transaction is received, the Load is matched by PRO Number and carrierTradingPartnerId. When no match is made, an Unmatched EDI Invoice record is created. See additional information here.

  • The logic for deleting Payable records for Unmatched EDI Transactions is updated to match functionality in the TMS. When the Payable record for an Unmatched EDI Transaction is deleted, the Unmatched EDI Transaction Load field is set to null and the Status is set to Pending.

  • New financial fields (Customer Invoice Freight Amount and Customer Invoice Fuel Amount) are added for the PayIQ package and are supported in the Accounting Seed Bridge.

  • Fields were removed and added to the new GL Account Default object to be compatible with the Accounting Seed Spring ‘24 release.
