Hazardous Materials
The TMS supports hazardous materials loads with fields on the Line Item record.
The HazMat checkbox field automatically rolls up to a Load-level field of the same name.
The Banyan, WWEX Speedship, Project44, and SMC3 EVA LTL integrations all support hazardous materials quoting and tendering. There is some variation regarding which details are passed to the Carriers based on the integration. See specific information to see how each handles hazardous materials.
Adding a Hazardous Material Accessorial to Customer and Carrier Quotes
Hazardous Materials are defined and set at the Line Item level. When adding the HazMat accessorial, confirm the HazMat field is Checked on the Line Item. Enter all HazMat fields accordingly.
If an accessorial is populated in the HazMat Accessorial field found on TMS Admin → Configuration, that field is automatically added to Loads when a Line Item is a HazMat accessorial.
