Overview

Load Tracking Log

The Load Tracking Log Lightning Web Component LWC is located on the load lightning record page layout. This LWC provides an audit trail of key in-transit load events. For information on load tracking, see the Load Tracking integration articles.

The following fields must have history tracking on for this LWC to display complete data. When these fields change, the new value is displayed in the Load Tracking Log.

  • Last Reported City

  • Last Reported State/Province

  • Last Reported Country

  • Last Tracking Update Source

  • Last Tracking Update

  • Schedule Status

  • Load Status Comments

  • Driver Comments

If the Last Tracking Update field does not have Field Tracking enabled, the Status As Of and Update Received At fields display the same value.

Component Notes

  • The Tracking Log LWC uses the time zone of the user logging the check call or location update. If the logging user is the Email Loop Guest User, navigate to the Email Loop Guest User record and change the time zone. Salesforce may default to GMT.

  • The Status As Of field is the actual timestamp of the event provided by the tracking source.

  • The Update Received At field is the timestamp when the update was received in Revenova from the tracking source.

  • The Load Last Tracking Update field is not updated from changes in the Carrier Guest LWC. This field is set when updates are received via Trucker Tools, MacroPoint, or other tracking integrations. The field may also be set manually within the TMS.

  • Not all tracking sources provide the actual timestamp of events. Several tracking APIs capture this data when it is available including Project44 (LTL and TL), Trucker Tools, MacroPoint and FourKites.

  • Manual updates of the Arrival and Departure Dates/Times on Stops must have a Timezone field from the Location Account. This allows the Status as of field to populate accurately.

  • The Comments column is removed from the Tracking Log for customer Loads in a Freight Plan to avoid exposing customer account information.

Field values manually entered in the Load Detail LWC, including any additional fields added to the Load TMS5 field set only save one row in the Tracking Log.

Select Arrived or En Route on the Stop path and enter new values for a Last Reported City, State, or Country. These field changes are displayed in the Load Tracking Log (not the Stop City/State/Country field values). See the table below to reference when the geolocation of the Load is updated when manually entering fields.

  • When the Last Reported City, State/Province, and Country fields contain no values, the Stop geolocation fields are displayed in the Load Tracking Log.

  • When a Stop is manually set to Arrived or Departed and the Last Reported City field does not have a value, the Stop City/State/Country fields are displayed. Manually entered Last Reported State or Country fields are ignored.

  • When manually entering the Last Reported Geolocation (Latitude & Longitude), these values are displayed in the Load Tracking Log. Both the Latitude & Longitude fields are required. If only Latitude or Longitude is entered, the TMS attempts to calculate the Load location from manually entered Last Reported City/State/Country fields.

Load Tracking Log - Location Only

The Load Tracking Log - Location Only LWC displays the date/time and location for Load tracking. This LWC is usually displayed in the Email Loop Guest Community to provide customer users with load tracking information.

The Comments column in the Tracking Log LWC is hidden for customer Loads in a Freight Plan. Hiding this column prevents exposing customer account information when multiple customer Loads are associated with a Carrier Load in the Freight Plan.

Internal TMS users are able to view this tracking information.

Customer Portal users are able to view tracking information on the Tracking Load and Tracking Log - Location Only components.
