The TMS supports load locking operations to prevent Customer Sales Reps and Carrier Sales Reps from interfering with each other in high-volume, collaborative environments.
The Load Lock prevents certain simultaneous operations on a Load. Handle Load Locking operations with the Load Lock Status Lightning Web Component (LWC). The LWC is located on multiple components, but can be found in the Revenova Default - Load Lightning Record Page (LRP) in the Activity tab.

Load Locking Settings
Configure the following Load Lock settings:
In the Load Locking section in TMS Admin → Configuration:
Enable Operations Load Locking
Load Locking Hold Time
For each User, set the following settings in Setup → Users:
Load Locking Administrator
Load Locking Max Count
Load Lock Renewal Limit

Load Locking Administrators can unlock any Load. Other Users can only unlock Loads they hold the lock to and lock Loads that are unlocked.
Note: Users with the System Administrator Profile can use the Release All Load Locks header button in TMS Admin → Configuration.
The Load Locking Max Count field determines the maximum number of Load Locks a User can hold at one time. This limit is checked for Loads without a carrier assigned and when a lock is passed to a User. Leave this field blank to prevent a User from locking Loads.
Error - Load Lock Status: You cannot lock this Load as you have exceeded the maximum number of load locks.
Users encounter this error when the load locking feature is enabled in an org, but the User record is not configured. Navigate to the User record and enter a value in the Load Locking Max Count field.
The Load Lock Renewal Limit field restricts the User from renewing the same Load Lock. Enter a value in this field to limit the number of times the User can renew the same Load Lock before being denied. Leave this field blank to allow unlimited renewals for the User.
Load Lock Statuses
Each Load displays the lock status based on the following states:
The Load is unlocked,
The Load is locked by the current User, or
The Load is locked by another User
Unlocked Load
All Loads are unlocked until they are locked by a User. When the Load is unlocked, it refreshes each minute and updates the status if another User locks the Load.
The current User can select the Lock Load button and have the Load locked until it expires based on the Load Locking Hold Time field in the Load Locking section of TMS Admin → Configuration.

If a User attempts to lock a Load and the total amount of Load Locks the User has exceeds the value in the Load Locking Max Count field in Setup → User, the User cannot lock the Load and is presented with an error message.

Locked by Current User
When the current User locks a Load, the Load Lock Status LWC updates, and the User who owns the lock can renew or release the lock and view the queue of Users waiting for the lock.

If the Load Lock is about to expire for the User, the User can select the Renew Lock button. The User can renew the Load Lock up to the value in the Load Lock Renewal Limit field in Setup → User. If a User attempts to renew a Load Lock when the limit is reached, they cannot renew and are presented with an error message.

The User can also release the Load Lock with the Release Lock button. If there is a queue of other Users waiting for the lock, the next User in the queue receives the Load Lock. If not, then the Load becomes unlocked.
The current User can view the queue Users by selecting the Queue dropdown link. The current User who actively has the Load Lock is listed at the top.

If the current User has the Load Locking Administrator field checked, they can pass the lock to another user in the queue using the Pass Lock
button.

Locked by Another User
When a User views a Load Lock that is locked by another User, they can view who is holding the lock, when it expires, and join/view the queue.

Note: If the current User viewing the locked Load by another User has the Load Locking Administrators field checked, they are also able to see and select the Release Lock button in the Load Lock Status LWC.
The current User can select the Join Queue button and immediately be added to the queue of Users waiting for the lock. They can also view the queue Users by selecting the Queue dropdown link. The User who actively has the Load Lock is listed at the top. The User can also leave the queue for the Load Lock by selecting the Leave Queue button.

If a User attempts to join the queue and the total amount of Load Locks the User has exceeds the value in the Load Locking Max Count field in Setup → User, the User cannot join and is presented with an error message.

If the current User has the Load Locking Administrator field checked, they can pass the lock to another user in the queue using the Pass Lock
button.

Load Locks Related List
The Load Locks related list in the Load LRP also displays a list of Users who are in the queue for locking the Load. From here, the user can view the following:
How many Users are waiting for the active Load Lock
When did a User lock the Load or join the queue
When does the active Load Lock expire
How many times did the User renew the active Load Lock

Only the active Load Lock has an expiration date and time. This value is calculated based on when the User gets the active Load Lock and the Load Locking Hold Time in the Load Locking section of TMS Admin → Configuration.
Locked Load Operations
The following Load operations may only be performed by the User holding the Load Lock:
Load Detail LWC:
Tender button
Remove Carrier button
Update stop status via pop-up
Link to stop records
Freight Quote Assistant LWC:
Accept a Carrier Quote
Tender a Carrier Quote
Assign a Carrier/Carrier Quote
Truck-Load Match LWC:

Attempting to perform a prohibited operation results in an error message.
