Overview

Selection Reason

The TMS can enforce a selection reason when the lowest cost quote is NOT chosen. Tendering or assigning a load to a Carrier from the Carrier Quote Builder LWC or Carrier Quote List LWC can trigger the selection reason. A selection reason can be required on a per-user and per-mode basis with the Selection Reason Required Modes field on the User object. When clicking the tender or assign button with a non-lowest cost quote on an applicable mode:

  1. The selection reason modal displays.

  2. The user is not able to proceed until a reason is selected.

  3. The selected option is saved on the Carrier Quote in the Selection Reason field.

  4. The remainder of the tender or assign process proceeds as normal.

The Selection Reason Required Modes field is applicable for internal users only.
