Required Field Scanner

The Required Field Scanner Lightning Web Component (LWC) provides a quick way for a system admin to verify the object and field permissions for a user. Users may encounter unexpected errors or be unable to view objects or fields when performing tasks in the TMS without the appropriate permissions.

Revenova provides the TMS Baseline Required Fields packaged permission set that contains a collection of fields required to perform various tasks in the TMS.

It is not recommended to assign the TMS Baseline Required Fields permission set to any TMS or Site Users (Carrier/Customer Portal Users). Determine the individual object and field requirements for a user and add the specific permissions as necessary.

Navigate to TMS Admin and find the Required Field Scanner link in the System section.

1. Enter a User name and search the permissions.

2. The profile and permission set for that user is evaluated against the TMS Baseline Required Fields permission set.

3. The LWC provides the following information for the user.

   1. Profile

   2. Permission Sets

   3. Parent Objects

   4. Fields

   5. Missing Permissions

4. Add any required permissions to the user permission set(s) as necessary.

For each TMS release, additional fields are added to the TMS Baseline Required Fields permission set, as required. When necessary, update user permission sets to account for these fields.

For administrators or users with all permissions, the LWC lists the profile and permission set(s) for the user as shown below.
