SMC3 Quoting and Invoicing
When using the SMC3 API to retrieve customer or Carrier quotes, the itemized freight charges by Load line item are captured on the Customer Quote Freight Charge Item and Carrier Quote Freight Charge Item objects. The Freight Charge Items can be viewed on the customer and Carrier quote record detail pages.
When available, terminal information is provided for the pickup and delivery stops, and is stored on the Carrier Quote and first/last Stops.
When invoicing a customer, if there are Customer Quote Freight Charge Items on the Customer Quote, those itemized freight charges appear on the Customer Invoice .PDF.
For EDI invoices, the itemized freight charges are included in the EDI 210 XML (see the Revenova EDI Specification for details of the XML transaction).
When using this itemized freight charge format, contact the EDI VAN (e.g., Cleo) to ensure they have the configuration and mapping set up to process the additional elements. Kleinschmidt has already completed this task.
