Overview
Billable Weight-Based Notes
The Rate Entry DIM Factor field is used to calculate the DIM (Dimensional) Weight. The TMS calculates the DIM Weight by dividing the volume of the load by the DIM Factor.
If the load does not have the volume specified, TMS calculates the volume based on the handling unit Length/Width/Height dimensions of the line items of the Load.
The Billable Weight is the greater value of the DIM Weight and Total Weight on the load.
The DIM Weight and the Billable Weight are on the Customer Quote and Carrier Quote objects and are populated by billable weight-based rate entries. They are in the load weight units.
