Hazardous Materials Support
The TMS supports hazardous materials loads with fields on the Line Item record.
The HazMat checkbox field automatically rolls up to a Load-level field of the same name.
The Blue Grace, Worldwide Express, and Project44 LTL API all support hazardous materials quoting and tendering. There is some variation regarding which details are passed to the Carriers based on the integration. See specific information to see how each handles hazardous materials.
Adding a Hazardous Material Accessorial to Customer and Carrier Quotes
Hazardous Materials are defined and set at the Line Item level. When adding the HazMat accessorial, confirm the HazMat checkbox is “checked” on the Line Item. Enter all HazMat fields accordingly.
If an accessorial is populated in the HazMat Accessorial field found in TMS Admin, Configuration, that field is automatically added to loads.
