Overview

Auto-Apply Accessorials

Accessorial type Rate Entries may be created to auto-apply and calculate for a load on the customer or Carrier quotes. These accessorial charges can apply to loads when created within the TMS and for Portal users.

Setup

Select when an accessorial is auto-applied based on the customer Transportation Profile and/or the Global Transportation Profile.

Navigate to the customer Transportation Profile(s) to set the Auto-Apply Accessorial Rating Source field. By default this field is set to Customer + Global Rates. When set to Customer + Global Rates, any auto-apply accessorials that match on the Global Transportation Profile are included on customer quotes.

If necessary, set this field to "Customer Rates Only." When set to Customer Rates Only, accessorial Rate Entries for this Transportation Profile only are included on customer quotes.

Rate Entries

Create Accessorial Rate Type Rate Entries and select the Auto-Apply checkbox.

Accessorial type Rate Entries can be set per Mode and/or Lane.

Rate Entry matches based on the Lane, Mode, Expected Ship Date (within Effective and Expiration Dates), and Carrier Service.

Manually add the same Accessorial to a Load even when that accessorial already exists (auto-applied) on the Load. The rate entry remains tagged in the pricing notes even when manually added.

Accessorials automatically applied to a customer quote respect the applicable Markup Group for accessorials.

When creating Carrier Rate Entries the process is similar. The Rate Entry must also match on the Carrier Service.

Warning:

Accessorial names should be different for pickup and delivery so that the TMS does not remove a valid accessorial.

For example, a load with Pickup and Delivery stops with Remote Access accessorial charges. Name them Remote Access Pickup and Remote Access Delivery so that each is applied to the load.
