Overview
Accessorial Exclusions
Accessorial Exclusions prevent quotes from returning for Carriers that do not support specific Accessorial charges and cannot support the full Load requirements. If an Accessorial Exclusion is setup and related to a Carrier, and the Load includes the Accessorial, that Carrier is excluded from returning a quote.
These exclusions are created on the Carrier Transportation Profile and are found in a related list.

Create Accessorial Exclusions from the Carrier Transportation Profile by clicking the New button to open the modal.

Create an Accessorial Exclusion
Navigate to the Carrier's transportation profile. Click New on the Accessorial Exclusions related list.
Enter the Accessorial Exclusion details.
Accessorial: search and select the Accessorial the carrier does not support.
Lane: Optional. Select a lane that the exclusion is applied to. Don't select a lane if a location is selected in the location field.
Location: Optional. Select a location that this exclusion is applied to.
At quote time, look at the Accessorial type (Pickup, Delivery, or Load) and then check if this Location:
Matches a Pickup stop location (if accessorial type = pickup),
A delivery Stop location (if accessorial type = delivery)
Any Stop locations (if accessorial type = load)
Apply the exclusion if any of the above conditions are true.
Reason: Text field to enter the reason for the exclusion, i.e. Carrier does not support Corrected BOLs.
Effective Date: Start date when the Exclusion becomes effective. Based on the first Stop Expected Date.
If the Expected Date on the first Stop of the Load is less than the Effective Date on an Exclusion, the exclusion is not applied to the Load.
Expiration Date: Date that the Exclusion expires.
If the Expected Date on the first Stop of the Load is greater than the Expired Date on an Exclusion, the exclusion is not applied to the Load.

Click Save when the information is added for the exclusion.
The Expected Date for the first Stop of the Load determines whether the Exclusion applies to the Load. The Expected first Stop date must fall on or between the Effective and Expiration Dates.
Using Carrier Accessorial Exclusions
API carrier quotes are NOT returned if a Carrier accessorial exclusion exists and matches the accessorial added to the Load.
Searching for and selecting a Carrier Service in the Freight Quote Assistant with an accessorial exclusion that matches the accessorial added to the Load presents an error. Users are prevented from Quoting, Tendering, and Assigning the Carrier Service.
Error:
This action cannot be performed as After Hours Pick Up is an excluded accessorial for this Carrier.

The Carrier Service/Carrier is not available in the Carrier Match component.
The Carrier Service/Carrier quote is not returned in the Customer Portal.
If a Carrier Exclusion Accessorial rule should be ignored by a specific customer, Customer Accessorial Exclusion Exceptions can be created. The carrier will be available for quoting and booking activities.
Accessorial Exclusion Exception
Ignore Carrier Exclusion Accessorial rules for a specific customer with Customer Accessorial Exclusion Exceptions. With Accessorial Exclusion Exceptions, the Carrier is available for quoting and booking activities.
For example, the Estes Express Carrier Transportation Profile has an Inside Pick Up Accessorial Exclusion. The Revenova Customer Transportation Profile, the Inside Pick Up Accessorial Exclusion is setup as a Customer Accessorial Exclusion Exception. If a Load is created for Revenova Customer with an Inside Pick Up accessorial, Estes Express should return rates and be available for booking activities.
